About Marion Thomson

As a landscape artist I believe it is fundamental to experience your subject first hand. I sketch and paint and take photographs in situ, trying to commit the experience to memory. Back in my studio I translate these sources onto canvas. The works may take days or weeks before I can lay them aside and be happy with them. I have been commissioned through galleries as well as by individuals and have paintings in private and corporate collections. I am a member of the Society of Scottish Artists.
