About Joe MacFarlane
Living on the spectacular West coast of Scotland - Joe is enthralled by the natural beauty of the environment that surrounds her and this is very much reflected in her vibrant, exuberant work.
A self taught artist - a spirit simply compelled to create - Joe describes her creative process as a spontaneous eruption when the right inspiration has struck.
Her work has been described as "a punchy combination of popping colour and line highlights... acrylic paint and inks... confident loose strokes producing almost abstract landscapes rooted in this area and bursting with life" by Fiona Holland, The Porch Gallery.
