Pauline Muir
Pauline graduated from Glasgow School of Art after which she was involved in various site-specific public art projects working alongside Architects and Industry.
She held an Artist in Residence role in various schools, introducing the students to Public Art and clarifying the additional constraints placed on proposals for the public realm as opposed to the private realm.
During the twelve years teaching Ceramics and Sculpture in a Further Education college, she was involved in guiding Medical Students (studying Humanities as part of their training) through the principles of site-specific public art and leading them through the design process and making maquettes of their proposals for the selected site.
More recently, Pauline is focused on creating her own work. Her sources of inspiration lie in nature and natural forms, celebrating elements of the visual world, whether her artworks are purely decorative, functional, or a combination of both.
