Kate primarily works as a painter and mixed media artist. She is currently based in London, doing an MA in Painting at The Royal College of Art, having completed her BA at The Glasgow School of Art in 2023.

Kate’s paintings explore form, structure, colour and texture with the intention of reflecting her physical, emotional and psychological experience of a place. Her aim is to engage the viewer through constructing fragments of the urban environment as visually and textually immersive scenes, conveying the experience of moving through a space, while allowing the viewer’s own narratives of walking in the city to emerge as they experience the work.
