Graduating from Gray’s School of Art in 1992, Anne-Marie has been teaching Art & Design in secondary schools since 1994. Her work is inspired by her garden and the surrounding Aberdeenshire countryside where she lives.

Photography plays an important role in gathering composition ideas which are then further explored in her sketchbooks. She loves exploring colour and adding surprise pops of colour in her paintings. Collage is also important to her and she uses a mix of collected patterned papers along with gelli printed papers and paper fabric she has made herself.
