Ann Johnston
Ann graduated from Winchester School of Art, London University where she studied drawing and painting and was awarded the southern arts scholarship. She taught in Hampshire for many years and exhibited widely in the south, with solo shows in the Blaydon gallery, Hurstbourne tarrant and the Marlborough gallery. She retired from full-time teaching and came to scotland in 1984, opening the greengallery to showcase major contemporary scottish art and her own work.
She paints in her studio in the Trossachs using watercolour and oils, still lives and landscapes are influenced by light and shade and a love of exhuberant lively colour.
Ann has exhibited with the Glasgow Society of Women Artists, the Morningside Gallery Edinburgh, Stirling Arts and the Jerdan Gallery Crail until it’s closure.
