Arantza, a Spanish artist based in Scotland, takes inspiration from her memories in her lively home country. Her ever-changing studio in Glasgow is anything but boring, full of eye-catching conversation-starting one off pieces.

Her colourful dreamlike abstract paintings evoke her childhood roots while approaching her vibrant work from an unconventional expressive perspective: the unexpected in dreams.

In every brushstroke there is some stream of consciousness, unfiltered emotions and chaotic thoughts that go through the mind, both when painting intuitively and when sleeping. Like the subconscious, mark-making ,shapes and textures are unpredictable at times. All her works are painted intuitively with colour being at the core of her work.

Her work is energetic, uplifting and she certainly dreams in colour!
