Karen McQueenie
Karen is a local Scottish Artist who creates art through the exploration of nature and emotion. Her main medium uses hand foraged flora and windfall wood, which are gathered from local woodlands, forests and other nature spaces, to create stunning and unique 3D Nature Art compositions.
These compositions are expressions of emotion, and inclusion within our society. Not only are they beautiful, but their depiction of the uniqueness within each of us through her end-of-season flora gives pause to the viewer to remember that beauty can be found everywhere and in every stage of life.
When she is not creating her 3D Nature Art or out foraging, she create stained glass and experiments with her painting. She likes to create texture and emotion by mixing oils, acrylics and watercolours on the same canvas. Her paintings express a darker side to her emotional exploration and are very visually striking.
Since her debut in 2024, Karen has been featured in several gallery exhibitions, gaining a lot of interest in her unique style of expression. As a true explorer, Karen likes to continually find new ways to express her art and loves to explore new mediums, but she has definitely found her voice in her nature art.
